Dardanian X – General Race Rules
1. Race Eligibility
- Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the race.
- All racers must sign a waiver before participating.
- Athletes with medical conditions should consult a physician before registering.
2. Obstacle Completion
- Every obstacle must be attempted.
- Failed/Unfinished obstacles incur a penalty (e.g., 15–30 burpees or a designated penalty loop).
- Skipping obstacles or penalties leads to disqualification.
3. Course Conduct
- Stay on marked trails—shortcutting is prohibited.
- No littering; respect the environment.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior (cheating, aggression, etc.) results in removal.
4. Safety & Medical
- Follow instructions from race staff and medical personnel.
- If injured or unable to continue, notify a course official immediately.
- The race may be modified/canceled for extreme weather.
5. Gear & Attire
- Wear appropriate OCR-friendly clothing and footwear (no barefoot running).
- Hydration packs and gloves are allowed.
6. Spectators
- Spectators are welcome, but must stay in designated areas and not provide any assistance to athletes during the race.
7. Disqualification (DQ)
- Skipping obstacles or penalties.
- Course cutting.
- Refusing medical aid or violating conduct rules.
8. Rule Enforcement
- Dardanian X reserves the right to update rules for safety/fairness.
- Final rulings are at the discretion of race officials.

What is the Dardanian X Race?
The Dardanian X Race is a challenging obstacle course race (OCR) that tests endurance, strength, and mental grit. Participants run a set distance while overcoming various obstacles, such as walls, ropes, mud pits, and carries.
What distances are available?
The inaugural edition of the Dardanian X Race will showcase the 5km “Dardanian Trail.” In future editions, we plan to introduce a more challenging course for seasoned athletes, along with Kids’ tracks designed for young Dardans.
Do I need to be an elite athlete to participate?
No! The race is designed for all fitness levels. Some obstacles may be difficult, but modifications (like penalty loops or burpees) allow everyone to finish.
How should I train for the race?
Focus on running to build endurance for hills and trails. Grip Strength: Practice pull-ups, rope climbs, and dead hangs. Functional Strength: Carry heavy objects, do burpees, and work on full-body movements.
What should I wear for the obstacle course race?
We recommend moisture-wicking, durable clothing (avoid cotton) and sturdy shoes with good grip. Avoid loose clothing that may snag on obstacles.
Are spectators allowed to watch the race?
Yes, spectators are welcome! Designated viewing areas will be available to cheer on participants.
What happens if there is bad weather on race day?
The event will proceed rain or shine. However, in cases of severe weather, updates will be communicated via email and social media.
Is there an age requirement to participate?
Yes, participants must be at least 18 years old.
